The BA (Hons) Degree in International Tourism Management is a 6 month specialist programme validated and awarded by the
Manchester Metropolitan University and equivalent to the final year of university study. This course allows a measure of specialization in tourism management. It is designed for those who have prior qualifications to Higher Diploma level and who intend to make their careers in the industry and wish to be best placed to achieve rapid promotion.
Requirements for Admission:
* Minimum
19 years of age
* Higher Diploma in Tourism Management or equivalent
* Transfers are considered from recognized Hotel/Tourism Management schools
or universities
* Proficiency in English: 526 TOEFL (paper-based), 196 TOEFL
(computer-based), 5.5 IELTS, or equivalent
Applicants who do not have the required English level may join the
English
Language Foundation Course (ELFC).
Programme objective:
The objective of the BA (Hons) Degree in International Tourism
Management programme is to equip students for the demands of senior
management in the tourism industry as well as to give them the foundation to
continue onto advanced programmes at Master's level. Students receive
individualised attention and the curriculum focuses on the strategic business
development of tourism organizations, core subjects including international
strategy and marketing, international tourism development, strategies for
evaluating management decisions as well as career planning and development.
